- The mission of the Forum is to facilitate a broad-based debate of national policies that have an impact on the profitability of the U.S. food and agricultural industry.
- Organizer of the annual event is the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) at Iowa State University.
- Participants from more than 25 states and four countries have attended the Forum in past years.
- The Forum brings together a wide range of agricultural industry players to discuss issues critical to the vitality of agriculture. They represent sectors that affect, and are affected by, the agricultural industry: agribusiness leaders, key producers, commodity and trade organization members, rural community developers, lenders, state and federal legislators, lobbyists, educators, innovators in research and development, and general news media.
