Larry Bohlen leads Friends of the Earth's Community, Health, and Environment Program, which works to protect communities against pesticides and other pollution. With more than a decade of experience as an environmental advocate, he serves as the director of the Safer Food-Safer Farms Campaign. He also serves as the principal advisor to the Ozone Protection Campaign and the D.C. Environmental Network. Mr. Bohlen graduated summa cum laude with a BS in aerospace engineering and a concentration in philosophy from the University of Maryland.
Most recently, he initiated tests for the Genetically Engineered Food Alert coalition that found the presence of StarLink corn in taco shells sold in grocery stores.
