Christopher J. Bosso is associate professor and chair of the Department of Political Science at Northeastern University in Boston, where he has been on the faculty since 1984. His publications include Pesticides and Politics: The Life Cycle of a Public Issue (1987), which won the Policy Studies Organization award for the best book in policy studies, and a new textbook, American Government: Conflict, Compromise, and Citizenship (2000), as well as articles and chapters on environmental politics, the tactics and strategies pursued by environmental groups, and on public policymaking dynamics generally.

Dr. Bosso earned his BA in political science at the University of Akron (1978) and his MA (1980) and PhD in political science (1985) at the University of Pittsburgh.
