Since 1981, Jung-Sup Choi has been working with the Korea Rural
Economic Institute a government think-tank on agricultural policy.
He is director of the Agricultural Outlook Center. His research
topics include agricultural policy and trade.
In 1994, he served as a specialist for the Presidential Commission
on Rural Reconstruction convened to deal with rural policy reform
after the conclusion of the Uruguay Round negotiations.
Dr. Choi received his Ph.D. in agricultural economics from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison and spent two years at the University of California-Davis
as a visiting scholar. In 2001, he worked at the University of Sydney
in Australia for joint research on the beef industry.
